Technology in the Classroom
As we make our transition to a 1:1 high school, it will be even easier for us to address global competencies and education, as technology facilitates a great deal of the communication necessary for those skills and understandings. On this page, you will find a series of resources that may help you integrate technology into the classroom.

Integrating Technology in the ClassroomThe International Society for Technology in Education - provides a wealth of resources to help schools, administrators, and educators implement 21st century technology in the classroom to aid in the development of global competencies. It's publication, "Global Education: Using Technology to Bring the World to Your Students" is an excellent resource. You can read an excerpt here.
ISTE Standards for Teachers - creates indicators for teacher integration of technology in the classroom, including standards for modeling digital citizenship. ISTE Standards for Students - are similar standards to those for teachers, just from a student perspective. These standards would be an excellent resource to share with students when discussing when and how to implement technology in the classroom. |
