How to Use This Site
The purpose of this site is to provide teachers, administrators, and students with the resources that will help integrate global education into the daily classroom and throughout schools and districts. Hopefully, this site can be a resource for teachers of all content areas and levels who are looking to better integrate global competencies, project based learning, and global relationships amongst their students and communities. As we all know, the best way to learn is to actually DO something, whether it is at the local, national, or global level. The Global Education resources tab will provide such local, national, and opportunities to build bridges with international students and schools, teacher professional development that includes global travel, and student opportunities for global travel. Schools wanting to assess their present level of global education and competency throughout and within classrooms can find resources in the Global Education Assessment tools. Perhaps one of the most meaningful 21st century skills that aids in our goal of global competency is familiarity and knowledge of technology, for which resources have been compiled in the “Technology in the Classroom” tab. Finally, under the “Curriculum and Unit Plans” tab, teachers and administrators can find already created classroom resources that are ready to modify and/or implement for your own classroom to aid in your enhancement of global competencies and education.
