Global Education Opportunities for StudentsBureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, US Department of State - the U.S. Department of State provides several exchange opportunities for secondary, undergraduate, and graduate students to countries including, but not limited to: Germany, India, Indonesia, and Nepal. Students may focus on areas of study such as civic engagement or foreign language instruction.
Omprakash - connects students with international volunteer opportunities in most regions of the world. iEarn - provides students with an easy and meaningful forum through which to participate in online collaborations and exchanges with international students. Rotary International Youth Exchanges - offers secondary students opportunities to study abroad for up to one year and to serve as ambassadors for the United States and Rotary International throughout the world. |
Global Education Exchanges and Professional Development for TeachersTeachers for Global Classrooms - The Teachers for Global Classrooms program, through the US Department of State and managed by IREX, provides U.S. teachers with opportunities to learn about global education, travel, and teach in countries such as India, Morocco, the Philippines, Colombia, Russia, and Ghana.
IREX - IREX manages several professional development and exchange opportunities for U.S. and foreign teachers. Fulbright Distinguished Awards in Teaching Program - provides U.S. teachers to participate in 3 to 6 month international exchange opportunities in order to conduct research and collaborate with other teachers. Primary Source - provides in-school and sumer institutes, as well as study-abroad and collaborative experiences for teachers in order to better facilitate conversations about history, culture, and society. Foreign Policy Research Institute - provides teacher professional development opportunities to analyze foreign policy issues facing the United States. |
